Coconut jam can be consumed alone, or you can add it to the topping of desserts and cakes or rub it on bread and eat at breakfast. This product is 100% organic and doesn’t contain any artificial additives, such as colour or extra sugar. It is also gluten-free and Non-GMO. Moreover, the product has the Natural Moreish Company’s guarantee, so order with peace of mind!
General Information
Coconut jam, also called kaya jam, is popular throughout Southeast Asia. The word kaya in the Malay language means rich, referencing the texture of their popular foods.
In the Philippines, coconut jam is known as matamís sa báo, which means “sweetened coconut”. It is not similar to other Southeast Asian versions in that it uses coconut cream and cane sugar extract. It also does not have eggs, and thus its texture is more liquid than custard.
Natural Moreish’s byproducts of coconuts include organic coconut oil, coconut water, coconut syrup, organic coconut butter, organic coconut vinegar, and many more.
Best way to Use Organic Coconut Jam
Mix it with ground glutinous rice paste to create a popular Filipino dessert known as kalamay.
It is also often spread on toast to make matamis toast or pandesal and eaten in the morning or used as a filling for pan de coco.
Try this melt-in-the-mouth sweet spread with your toast for breakfast every morning. It has a flavour and texture similar to Dulce de Leche. It may also be used as filling for pastries or on rice.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place like a fridge if you plan to keep them for later use. Refrigerate after opening but leave it at room temperature for a while before using; otherwise, it will be difficult to spread. Out of the fridge, it should be fine for days or even a week or two.
