Serving Suggestions
Deodorized Cocoa butter is a critical ingredient in chocolate bars, chocolate cake, chocolate icing, and other chocolate-based goodies and skincare products. At home, you can use cocoa butter in the kitchen to prepare your own dark chocolate, bake your own choco-cakes and pastries, and even make a perfect facial mask or even perfume!
Storage
Cocoa butter should be stored in an airtight container in a cold, dry and dark place. However, it can also be stored at room temperature and yet keep its solid form. Its native antioxidants prevent it from going bad, giving it a 2-5 years shelf life.
Cocoa Butter (Deodorised) FAQ
Does this need to be put in the fridge?
It finely stays in pantry or such closet.
I need completely unscented cocoa butter. Does this have any smell?
It\'s deodorized using a natural process, which means scent may still be present. In order to get it completely deodorized, a chemical process should be obtained.
Can I bake with it?
Cocoa butter is used for thinning chocolate and making chocolate coatings. It is seldom used in baking applications because it hardens at room temperature, making it less than ideal for creaming methods unless combined with other liquid fats.
What deodorization process is used for this butter?
A steam and clay process and without using any chemicals.
Is it nut-free? Can I use it in the class where someone has a nut allergy?
Yes, it is nut-free.
Would freezing it after opening prolong its shelf life?
Cacao powder can have up to a two-year shelf life, when kept sealed securely and in a dark, dry and cool place in an air-tight container.
Is this a Non-GMO product?
Yes, all of our products are Non-GMO.
