General Information
The Hazelnut is the fruit of the hazel tree which is also called filberts. Hazelnuts are used in baking and desserts, confectionery to make praline, and in combination with chocolate for chocolate truffles and products such as chocolate bars, hazelnut cocoa spread such as Nutella, and Frangelico liqueur. Turkey is the world’s largest producer of hazelnuts.
Hazelnut flavouring is a concentrated, flavorful liquid and contains natural hazelnut extractives, alcohol, caramel colour IV, and water. Hazelnut flavouring can be used for cakes, ice creams, frosting and icings.
The Best Way to Use Hazelnut Flavouring
Hazelnut flavouring can be used in cakes, cookies, frostings and icings. If you want to use hazelnut flavouring in homemade ice cream, 85 grams is enough to flavour 20 litres of ice cream.
Hazelnut is the most popular coffee flavour, and our flavouring can be added directly to brewed coffee or sprayed on the beans before grinding. Add 1/2 teaspoon of hazelnut flavouring to flavour 10 – 12 cups of brewed coffee. When applying to the whole coffee beans, use it at a level of approximately 3.00% by weight.
Try adding one teaspoon of hazelnut flavouring to your favourite cake mix. Blend the ingredients and bake per the cake’s directions, frost with chocolate buttercream icing to make a delicious chocolate hazelnut cake.
