Packed in fibre and extra nutrients that most sweeteners lack, date paste is the perfect paste for fillings and as a base ingredient in recipes. The calories and sugar content of baked goods made with honey and those made with date paste are very similar, but date paste adds fibre, polyphenols (an antioxidant), and potassium. Only one ingredient: Natural Dates! Free from date pits and any additives, date paste serves as an ideal baking ingredient.
Our Date Paste is produced so that all of the nutrients and goodness of the original dates are kept, and the finished product is devoid of any seeds, calyx, and other materials. The final result is a creamy, all-natural product with no additives or preservatives and is free of musty, mouldy, earthy, and other off-flavours. This product has no anti-oxidants, additives, sulphate agents, or artificial flavours.
Our date Paste is a 100% natural, fruit-based sweetener made from natural dates. It’s very delicious and incredibly nutritious! Date paste is a natural fruit paste that you can use as a base ingredient for energy balls and protein bars or pastry filling.
General Information
Date paste, like date syrup, is a natural date derivative with minimal processing. Date paste is made by separating the calyx and seeds from date fruits, cleaning, drying, moisturising, polishing, pressing, chilling, classifying, and packing them. These are significant milestones in the manufacturing process.
Date paste is precisely what it sounds like; dates are crushed into a paste with no added sugar. You can make it as thin or thick as you need it. If you want it for baking, it is better to keep it lush with little to no moisture added. They are typically lighter and sweeter than date fruits, which make them ideal for making chocolate mousse, chia dessert and using in savoury dishes. Date pastes taste like a delightful mix of honey, caramel, and cinnamon.
- They have a light, sweet fruit flavour with a nice, smooth texture.
- Unsweetened, No added sugar
- All-natural, no added colour
