With a deep history rooted in Middle Eastern Beauty and cooking, our rose water is produced by steeping rose petals in water, which adds an elegant floral aroma to any recipe. Rose water’s skin-soothing features also make it a beneficial ingredient in facial sprays and toners and sprays.

General Information

Roses are millions of years old; they were used in cooking back in Ancient Roman times. Romans also used these flower petals as confetti at parties, for perfume, and in some pharmaceutical applications.

Roses with eight petals were conceived as symbols of rebirth during the Renaissance. Through this time, the rose also became known for war. The War of the Roses happened when York and Lancaster of England went to war; the battle earned this name because the red rose represented Lancaster, and the white rose represented York.

Rosewater can be traced back to the 10th century, throughout the Persian empire, where rose petals were used to enrich and flavour Middle Eastern cuisine. During the Crusades, rosewater made its way through Europe, where it was used to wash hands before large Ancient feasts.

Rosewater is usually applied to infuse flavour into foods, but they taste floral and earthy, with a slight sweetness. Some people may say the flavour of rosewater is similar to strawberries. It has a light, sweet fruit flavour with a nice, smooth texture.

  • Unsweetened, No added sugar.
  • All-natural, no added colour

Best ways to use Rose Water

Rose-infused water provides a great way to combine the flavour of the rose into a whole dish, such as sponge cake, custard, or other baked goods. Rosewater helps balance the skin’s PH, reduces redness and irritation, tightens pores, and helps calm and soothe hot skin. In addition to drinking rosewater, it can be used as:

  • Skin tonic
  • Skin hydration
  • Antibacterial qualities
  • Anti-aging
  • Reduces frizz in hair

Serving Suggestions

The rosewater is always appreciated as an aromatic food ingredient. They are perfect ingredients for cool beverages. Dried rose petals are used as a topping for foods and sweets, mixed in yogurt, desserts, and tea infusion.

Storage

Rosewater doesn’t need to be refrigerated. It will keep its floral aroma best when stored in a cool, dry place. Pure concentrated rose water has a long shelf life, but if you’re concerned, give it a taste before cooking with it.
