Sweet pomegranate syrup is a blend of several pomegranate varieties grown in the Mudgee region of NSW. The pomegranate juice is extracted from a traditional cold pressing method. This process preserves the natural juice flavours, aromas and colour; while minimising the extraction of a bitter and astringent taste of the pomegranate pith and peal. This product contains no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
General Information
Pomegranate syrup is a thick, dark, honey-like syrup popular in Asian and Mediterranean cuisines. It is made from boiling down the pomegranate juice, which is extracted from fresh pomegranate seeds. Usually, other ingredients such as sugar and citric acid are also added to the pomegranate juice before boiling. Pomegranate syrup is generally offered in two varieties of sweet pomegranate syrup and sweet and sour pomegranate syrup.

Sweet pomegranate syrup is a delicious food ingredient that can be used in many recipes. You can add it to yoghurt and desserts; it can be drizzled over roasted vegetables and meats or mixed in alcoholic drinks and mineral water for a tastier beverage. It is recommended not to use this syrup in situations exceeding 100°C for best results.

Sweet pomegranate syrup should be stored in a cool and dry place. This product should not be refrigerated.
