If you are looking for a tasty, calming hot beverage, you should try lemongrass oolong tea which, as its name implies, is a combination of lemongrass leaves and oolong tea.

Oolong tea is a traditional Chinese tea made from the leaves of the Camellia synesis plant, which are also used to make green and black tea. The difference lies in the way the tea is made. Enzymes in tea leaves cause oxidation, a chemical reaction. Green tea leaves darken as a result of the oxidation process. It is not permitted to oxidise green tea. On the other hand, black tea is allowed to deteriorate until it is entirely black.

Oolong tea is partially oxidised because it falls somewhere between the two. This partial oxidation gives oolong tea its distinctive colour and flavour, which varies between brands and ranges from green to dark brown.

Natural Moreish offers a 100% natural Lemongrass oolong tea with no additives or preservatives. Keep this delicious and beneficial tea in an air-tight container in a dark and cool place. Storing it in the refrigerator may help you keep it fresh for a more extended period.

General Information

Lemongrass tea is a herbal tea made from the same plant that gives lemongrass oil, culinary herbs, and citronella candles. This plant has long been a popular ingredient in Asian cooking, particularly Thai cuisine. It’s used as a flavouring herb in cooking and as a herbal remedy for various ailments.

Our Lemongrass Oolong Teas come from some of the world’s best tea plantations in China, Indonesia, Taiwan, and other countries.

Delicious Ways to Use Lemongrass Oolong Tea

The easiest method would be to steep a cup of Lemongrass oolong tea in boiling water, either in tea bags or loose leaves. Use one teaspoon of tea per 6 ounces of water if the tea is rolled into balls, and up to 2 tablespoons of tea if the tea is large open leaves. Then steep for 2–5 minutes, depending on how good you want the flavour to be. It is best to consume the tea while it is still warm.

Serving and Portion Size

Since Lemongrass oolong tea contains some caffeine, It is better to drink it in moderation. To avoid disrupting your night sleep, it is advised to drink two cups of lemongrass oolong tea, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

As you may know, caffeine consumption in access can cause headaches, anxiety, irregular heartbeat, irritable bowel syndrome and inflammation. Therefore, if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a significant medical condition affected by caffeine intake, you should consult your doctor before drinking this tea.

Keep your teas dry and away from any humidity. Dampness and moisture will shorten the tea’s lifetime and also allow mould to develop.

Tea will absorb the scent of anything stored nearby, which is why we still suggest keeping your loose-leaf tea away from strong odours. This may imply that a kitchen cabinet, especially spice cabinets and pantries, is not the best option for storing your loose-leaf tea.
