If you are looking for something beautiful to design and decorate the cake that reminds you of winter and snow, you should try these delicate coconuts with a deep creamy taste that brings you back to your childhood winter snacks.

General Information

This fine desiccated coconut is produced with hardly any processing and no artificial flavours, colours, or additives. It’s made from the dehydrated and finely shredded dried white flesh of organically cultivated premium coconuts, and it’s rich in fatty acids and nutritional fibre. Desiccated coconut is a traditional delicacy with a pleasant chewiness and a subtle coconut flavour. It’s delicious on its own, but it’s also great in the kitchen for everything from breakfast foods to snacks and savoury meals.

If the recipe does not mention which type of coconut you require, use your best judgment. Is it savoury? Use sugar-free. Do you want to bake something sweet? Whatever you have on hand can be used. As for desiccated, flakes, or shredded, you can use your best judgment there, too. Your dishes will have more texture if the coconut chunks are larger than average. And you can have more cream and moister if you use shredded coconuts. Any way you look at it, you’ll end up with a beautiful dish.

Serving suggestions

  • Desiccated coconut adds a crunchy, coconutty texture to cereal and granola recipes, oatmeal bowls, chia and rice puddings, and, of course, milkshakes and slushy bowls.
  • Mix it with your favourite trail mix for a tasty flavour boost, or sprinkle it on yogurt and fruit for a light breakfast or snack.
  • Desiccated coconut is incredibly delicious in Asian-inspired savoury meals like fish cakes, rice paper rolls, and curries.
  • To add flavour, roast your desiccated coconut in the microwave with a sprinkle of sweetener like maple syrup on top.
  • This is a delicious addition to fruit toppings, bliss balls, trail mix, cakes, cookies, and bread.
  • You can eat coconuts as a perfect filling snack.

Storage

You can store fine coconut in a cool, dry area for a month or two. Alternatively, freeze coconut in an airtight container for up to a year.
