Black tea is perhaps the most popular and well-known type of tea. Owing to its oxidation cycle, it has a strong flavour and colour which differentiate it from other types of tea. It is usually consumed with added milk or sugar. Although very popular as a standalone tea, black tea is often mixed with other herbs and teas to yield healthy warm beverages with unique flavours that are suitable for different tastes and occasions.

Moroccan mint black tea is a mixture of black tea and mint. Natural Moreish offers a 100% natural Moroccan mint black tea with no additives or preservatives. Keep this delicious and beneficial tea in an air-tight container in a dark and cool place. Storing it in the refrigerator may help you keep it fresh for a longer period.

General Information

Like other types of tea, black tea is produced from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. For the production of black tea, these leaves are first allowed to oxidise fully. Next, the leaves are processed and dried. These steps give the black tea its dark brown colour and distinct flavour profile. Black teas are often described as astringent because they are bold and brisk.

Though various teas are processed differently, they typically have two distinct appearances: some are rolled into long curly leaves, while others are ‘wrap-curled’ into short beads with tails. In China, the first style is more conventional.

Black tea is grown and processed in a wide range of climates and geographies around the world. India, Sri Lanka, and Africa are the three largest producers of black tea today, with India producing half of all tea globally.

Delicious Ways to Use Moroccan Mint Black Tea

The easiest method would be to put one teaspoon of Moroccan mint black tea in a cup of 6 ounces of boiling water. Then steep for 2–5 minutes, depending on how good you want the flavour to be. It is best to consume the tea while it is still warm.

Generally speaking, black teas are often the best teas for breakfast and afternoon tea. Black teas are known for their bold flavours, making them ideal for pairing with Western cuisine, but they also go well with Indian, Thai, and African cuisines.

Serving and Portion Size

Most adults can tolerate a few cups of black tea per day. Even though black tea has less caffeine than coffee, an eight-ounce mug can contain anywhere from 40 to 120 mg of caffeine. Caffeine overdose can result in light-headedness, dehydration, headaches, stomach cramps, and an irregular heartbeat.

Caffeine in excess is not recommended for people with anxiety disorders, and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor about it. More than three cups of black tea per day, on average, can be harmful and irritate the digestive system of a nursing infant.

Moroccan mint black tea should be kept dry and away from any humidity. Dampness and moisture will shorten the tea’s lifetime and also allow mould to develop.

Tea will absorb the scent of anything stored nearby, which is why we still suggest keeping your loose-leaf tea away from strong odours. This may imply that a kitchen cabinet, especially spice cabinets and pantries, is not the best option for storing your loose-leaf tea.
